I Pet a COW!!!!!

Ok, so I know all of you out there that read this blog avidly know that I am not much of a country girl. Upon arriving at college, my friends learned of this and knew just what needed to be done. So, they took me to Lamont, which Kate swore was a small town, and it was BIGGER than Washburn, the town in the 218 ditch as Tony puts it. Now, I know most of you have heard about my experiences, but for the rest of you, here is my first hand account of country life...PETTING A COW!!!

We call this step one.....Entering the barn

This is step two....scared shitless of the cow!

Step three...Kate calls this repulsion...

Step four...slowly pet the cow

And here she is ladies and gentlemen, my cow number 536, we named her Petunia!

I hope you all thouroughly enjoyed my tales of this encounter. I have to say, it was a first, and it was HILARIOUS!!! You are all just jealous you didn't pet a cow with me!

Oh Grande, You do make me laugh! Love the pics you've been posting. Makes me feel a little closer to home. Can hardly wait to see everyone in a couple of weeks. I'm very glad your college education is including everything. Everyone should pet a cow at least once.

Got you beat, I spent the summer on a farm feeding horses, catching chickens and watering pigs. Ha.
No seriously, looks like that private education is paying for itself!

Seriously, this one cracked me up. I mean, I knew that the Mueller girls absolutely suffered from a lack of diversity in their lives, but it's really kind of hard to grasp that any Iowa girl has not ever been in a barn. For Pete's sake. Love ya, though. Auntie S
