Stuck in J-Town

Hello all, long time no blog. I have been reall busy this week. If this helps explain it, my paycheck at the Vee should be close to 400 and my check in Waukee should be close to 500. I think it equates to about 65 hours total this week. Leaving work was sort of strange. At the Vee, Shannon, one of the women I work with, sent me balloons and a really sweet card, and at the course we orderd pizza and blah blah. It's been interesting. It was strange to look at the schedule for next week and not see my name. I have poured so much of my life into the Vee and a lot of my summer into the course that it is strange that I am leaving them. I made a lot of friends at HyVee and it is strange to think I am not going to see them for a few months.

What I found, is that it was easier a lot of times to talk to the guys at the Vee than it was to talk to my friends. I decided it was because the guys at the Vee don't know me all that well, besides what I have told them. Then don't know my past, they don't know my friends, and they don't judge me. It was so nice to be able to talk to someone about anything. I was pretty close to some of them just because we spent so much time together with nothing to keep us entertained besides ourselves.

With that said, I have less than a week now before I leave. I am SO EXCITED! I got out the loft today, sorry Dana but all the shalacked Disney pictures are now gone and the remains are covered with primer. That SUCKED! And tomorrow I get to paint the loft and clean my car. Oh good times. Earlier this week I went out with Alicia. We saw 40 Year Old Virgin, funny movie. Mostly stupid humor but still pretty good. And we got in free because Alicia knew the kid working so it was even better. We got coffee afterwards and talked for awhile, it was fun. Friday I hung out with Josh. We went to the park by my house and hung out then we drove around and went to a park by his house for awhile. We had a good talk and the night was pretty good. I forgot to mention that last Sunday Josh and I went to the Hoobastank concert. What and AWESOME concert. I loved it. The Donnas played before Hoobastank and they kicked ass. Very good music to listen to when you are pissed off. Ahh...I heart Hoobastank!

Last night I went down to Drake to hang out with Butter. We were talking by some man made scenery there and this guy walked over and introduced himself and talked to us for awhile. Then the rest of the guys he was with came over and we all sat there and talked. It was pretty cool. I am supposed to meetthis guy she is sort of interested in but he wasn't there last night. I think I am going to go back later this week to see her before I leave. Hopefully he will be there so I can finally meet this guy she has been telling me so much about! Ahh!

Butter and I at our last Girls night out!

Well, I think that this is it for now. Nothing too interesting going on. Why, because I am still stuck in J-Town while the rest of the world is at college. But, I have lots to do to keep me busy this week so, I'll be writing when I'll be writing....may the force be with you.

Alright, enough of this "I am so sad to leave my jobs" crap... you know you can't wait to hang out with me in the city that never sleeps... Waverly IA!
Seriously, really looking forward to seeing you soon, and someday I will forgive you for painting over Bambi. I am much more forgiving than the Disney Gods.

Love, Cuzn D

Yeah, I am already over the leaving my jobs crap. And I didn't just paint over Bambi, Dad sanded him out and I primed and painted over the bare wood that was left. And I just had this conversation at work the other day, it is a common misconception that Bambi is a chick, while the truth of the matter is that Bambi is a dude. Whatever the case may be, Bambi will always be a chick in my eyes...
